How it works

Company settings and hand-over

Company settings holds the company's details (country of incorporation, ABN, ACN, incorporation, address, bank), its team and roles, the advisor firms attached to it, and ownership. Country of incorporation is the country the company is registered in. For an Australian company Struck keeps the register, filings and offer rules; a company registered anywhere else is workspace only, so the Register, Compliance, Terms and Investor checks pages are hidden, Completion only closes the raise, investors see an NDA governed by that country's law with no Australian statutes in it, and they sign the company's own agreement once it is uploaded to the dataroom and set up for signing. Such a company records the registrar's number instead of an ABN. The country can be corrected until the company has a register or a raise open to investors, and is fixed after that. Changing the bank account asks for a fresh second-step code and emails the whole team. Check against the Australian Business Register refills the legal name and ABN from the register; the registered address and incorporation date are not on the register, so they stay manual. Ownership is where an advisor-created company is handed over to its founder: the claim invitation moves the company, its register and workspace to the founder's organisation, stays valid for 14 days, and the advisor keeps access to help. A founder who signs up without the link, under the invited email, is offered the company on their first screen instead of setting it up again. When a firm asks to be added, the email's link opens Advisors with the firm's invitation filled in, ready to send. Until then the company's team is the advisor's firm, so Team invites wait for the hand-over: anyone invited earlier would join the firm and see its other clients.
