How it works

Investor updates

Updates are the company's ongoing news to the people who hold its shares, written and published from the company's Updates screen. Holders read them in their own portfolio under Updates, and opening one marks it read. They are separate from a raise's broadcasts, which speak only to the investors on that raise. Share on a published update makes a public link anyone can open: the post under the company's name and nothing about any raise, so a company can share its news whatever its raises rely on. While a raise that can take investors without a prospectus is in progress, whoever shares confirms the update doesn't mention a current or planned raise, because publicising one is an offence; Stop sharing takes the page down. An update for everyone with profile access is also an announcement, emailed to the company's followers while its public page is on.
