How it works

Payments and settlement

On countersignature each investor receives payment instructions with their own reference, and money goes straight to the company's account; Struck never holds funds, it reconciles what has arrived against what was committed. The receiving account is set in Raise settings, and until it is, the Payments screen says so instead of sending instructions nobody can pay. Only the company can change it, with a fresh second-step code, and every change emails the team and each investor still to pay, telling them to check the account on Struck; the email never carries the account itself, because an emailed change of account is what payment-redirection fraud looks like. Payments are settled one at a time with Mark settled, or together with Import bank statement: the account's CSV export is read in the browser, each deposit is matched by its payment reference and amount, short and over payments are shown but never settled, and the statement line each settlement rested on is kept with it. Either way, settling emails the investor and their signatories a receipt with a PDF; the row shows Receipt emailed, or why it was not sent with Send receipt to try again, and the investor can download the receipt from Receipt on their payment.
