How it works

Seeing the room as an investor sees it

One line at the top of the Documents tab says where the room stands: whether it is open, how many investors have access, how many have signed the NDA, and that every page is watermarked. Beside it, the deal team's View as investor shows the room exactly as a general investor sees it, with every team control gone. A bar across the top switches between Before the NDA, which shows only the teaser folders, and NDA accepted, which shows the full room. Out of the box it shows the folders open to every investor group, a folder open to only some groups being left out and counted in the bar; the picker beside the NDA switch narrows it to one group, and View as beside a group on the Access tab opens it that way. Ask the room is left out of this view, because its answers depend on each investor's own access. Files opened from it are logged as you, not as an investor. Back to the team view returns to the normal room. On a wide screen the deal team can also choose Hide above the checklist and reviews on the right, to give the room the full width; the button at the top right brings them back, and the room remembers the choice.
